Reflections on our Daily Readings
This week we continue our series of reflections on our daily readings from the School Sisters of Notre Dame website.
Sunday, March 21st “God is about to do a new thing, Isaiah announces, and indeed, rivers flow in the desert. The psalmist responds: “Our God has done great things for us! We are filled with joy!” We go out weeping and come home rejoicing. Paul rejoices to know Christ Jesus and the power of his resurrection. New things are on the horizon! The old obedience to law has been transformed to being “in Christ”, Paul writes, “stretching forward to grasp hold of Christ who has already grasped hold of me.” Jesus embodies this new thing of God: totally undeserved forgiveness, mercy, tenderness in the flesh. please Click here

The Lord's Passion Luke 22:14--23:56
"It is clear that the suffering of Jesus is the most prominent feature of the passion story. However, it is necessary to insist that this story is not primarily about suffering: it is about loving. It was Jesus' love for us that brought him to his passion and early death, and it was his love for us that opened the way for our redemption. The suffering was a consequence of his loving. There are many kinds of suffering, but only the suffering that comes from loving and remaining faithful is redemptive."

Thank you to all who participated, especially to WTU student Michael Ruzicki who planned the liturgy and led us in vibrant song.
