Reflections on our Daily Readings
This week we continue our series of reflections on our daily readings from the School Sisters of Notre Dame website.

“When you hear God tell you “All I have is yours,” how do you respond? What disgrace has God rolled away from you, what shame? How will you respond? How do you exercise the ministry of reconciliation? If it is difficult for you to mend your own fences, ask for the gift of being reconciled, and then handing on that peace. And especially, look at God and be radiant. Gaze on God who gazes on you so tenderly."

John 8:1-11
"...because we share the gift of his Spirit, we can be like Jesus in his act of true judgment and creative love. Forgiveness is true judgment and creative love. We say, for example, that a friendship has ended because some infidelity has destroyed it. The friendship can come into being again through forgiveness, creative love given and received." Mass of Remembrance for Father Jerry Hall, SJ

Rev. Jerome Hall, S.J.Last Thursday, the WTU community celebrated Fr. Jerry Hall's life with a Mass in his memory. Fr. Thank you to all who participated, especially to WTU student Michael Ruzicki who planned the liturgy and led us in vibrant song. Jerry's parents and brothers were so grateful to spend the evening celebrating Jerry's life with our community.

Pope Benedict XVI Supports Use of Internet Technology

MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS
POPE BENEDICT XVI
FOR THE 44th WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY

"The Priest and Pastoral Ministry in a Digital World: New Media at the Service of the Word"

The theme of this year’s World Communications Day - The Priest and Pastoral Ministry in a Digital World: New Media at the Service of the Word – is meant to coincide with the Church’s celebration of the Year for Priests. It focuses attention on the important and sensitive pastoral area of digital communications, in which priests can discover new possibilities for carrying out their ministry to and for the Word of God. Church communities have always used the modern media for fostering communication, engagement with society, and, increasingly, for encouraging dialogue at a wider level. Yet the recent, explosive growth and greater social impact of these media make them all the more important for a fruitful priestly ministry.
