The Resident Scholar Enrichment Program at the Washington Theological Union is a living, learning, and faith community of students in graduate studies committed to academic excellence. Each matriculated student who is enrolled at the Washington Theological Union as a Resident Scholar participates in a program that offers the opportunity not only to share one’s life with other students but also to learn from one another. The goal of the Resident Scholar Enrichment Program is to offer an environment that integrates the student’s life, studies, and faith experience so that it leads to robust academic exploration, life-giving faith, and a positive living situation.
The Resident Scholar Enrichment Program is a non-degree program that requires the Resident Scholar to be co-enrolled as a full-time graduate student in a degree program at another local graduate institution of higher education. Proof of co-enrollment requires a letter of good standing either from the institution’s Registrar or the student’s academic dean.
Also required for enrolling in the Resident Scholar Enrichment program is that the Resident Scholar must complete the program application and be accepted by the WTU. Once accepted into the program, the student will then be invited to enter into a license agreement (WTU Student Housing Agreement) for residence at the WTU.
