Requirements for Completing Thesis or Paper and/or Examinations

The dates and actions outlined below are very important and key to completing degree requirements. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Fall dates and actions are provided ONLY for the convenience of those students wishing to complete their requirements by December. The degree itself is awarded ONLY in May of each year. Further information about these required actions and their dates may be obtained from the Registrar (Deacon Merella) or the Academic Dean's Asst (Laura Glasgow).

Fall 2011

Sep 9 (Fri)	Final semester date to register for examinations (MA General and Departmental; MTS Oral or Paper Review); submit registration to Registrar
Sep 23 (Fri)	Final date for submission of examination bibliography to Registrar
Oct 7 (Fri)	Final date for submission of approved topics to Registrar
Nov 1 (Tue)	Degree examination period begins
Nov 18 Fri)	Degree examination period ends

 

Spring 2012

Oct 7 (Fri)	Final date for submission of approved topics to Registrar
Jan 20 (Fri)	Final semester date to register for examinations (MA General and Departmental; MTS Oral or Paper Review)
Feb 3 (Fri)	Final date for submission of examination bibliography to Registrar
Feb 17 (Fri)	Approval of examination bibliography
Apr 2 (Mon)	Degree examination period begins
Apr 4 (Wed)	Last date to submit final copy of thesis or paper to faculty readers for signature
Apr 20 (Fri)	Degree examination period ends
Apr 25 (Wed)	Final date to submit thesis or paper to Academic Dean for final approval
